Opening Night—WBAI-FM

In 1958, industrialist Lou Schweitzer invited Miles Kreuger to produce, write, and host the world’s first weekly radio program on the history of American musical theatre and film for his newly acquired WBAI-FM.

The program aired between June 29th, 1958, and February 22, 1960, during which time Kreuger interviewed sixteen people associated with musicals: stars, producers, composers, and more.
